In August there were 13 homes that sold in North Branford, Connecticut. The highest priced sale was a new construction colonial with 3275 sq.ft. on 1.3 acres, which sold for $440,000. This home had 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and was on the market for 124 days. The lowest priced home sale in North Branford was a ranch house that was built in 1959, with 1210 sq.ft. on a little under a half an acre. This home had 3 bedrooms and 1 bath and was on the market for 244 days. It sold for $247,000. The average real estate sale in North Branford for the month of August was $327,631 and the average home was on the market for 88 days. A list of homes that sold are below:

The North Branford Fire Department will be holding their annual Comedy Night on Satuday April 28.  This year the show will take place at Bill Miller's Castle in Branford at the intersection of Route 22 & 80.

We just picked up the first thee tickets so you still have time to make your purchase.  Not sure if the event sells out, last year as I recall it was in the High School Auditorium and they had several comedians with national name recognition.

Since the department is manned with volunteers just leave a message and they will get back to you in a day or two with purchase instructions.

Support their fund raiser and enjoy a few laughs...!!

The town of North Branford is more rural than most but there are a few spots for a hungry traveler to stop.  The Northford Grill at 22 & 17 or Kate's Country Kitchen can be found 2431 Foxen Road, ( Route 80 )                  

For either lunch or dinner you'll be in for a treat at Dalton's Restaurant located in the Brookside Plaza on Route 80 not far from the Guilford town line. Cedar's at Mill Pond in another choice in the Northford section at 1565 Middletown Ave ( Rt. 17)

The median sales price of single-family homes in North Branford ( including Northford ) took a dip in the fourth quarter of 2006. This downward trend is similar to what is happening in surrounding towns.  The number of homes closing actually increased by one over the same quarter last year.  Buyers are still looking for homes but more cautious as interest rates fluctuate and conflicting reports about the direction of prices plays out in the media.
