If you are going to be downtown on June 28 through July 7, don't miss the filming of the next Indiana Jones movie directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford. Plans call for filming scenes at the Yale campus, including the Commons dining hall.
Local businesses on Chapel Street will also be feature in the film. Enson's, Merwin's Art Shoppe and Peter Indorf Jewelers are just a couple of stores that are being transformed back into the 1950's for film.
If you are lucky maybe you be able to catch a glimpse of Harrison Ford.

It would be great to watch the filming, about a week ago they were casting for extras in the movie.

Sandra, when it will be released? I love the films from Steven S, and I love Indiana Jones movies, who will do the casting ? Harrison Ford ?
Ray:
Casting for extras was done on June 11 by Billy Dowd Casting and you needed to bring head and shoulder photos. From what I heard the line was blocks long. I didn't go down, but Dan was tempted : ) I believe the movie is expected to be released next year. I did go down to were they were filming and took some photos of the street scenes. I was hoping to do a post, just have not gotten around to it. They changed Chapel Street back into the 1950's and it was very interesting. And I was not discovered nor did I see any movie stars. : )
Here is one of the photos I took, The old cars were really interesting.

You are too funny. You would need a very big garage for all those cars! And they were bigger and wider than cars now (Guess gas prices where not a worry) People here love their classic cars too - take them out on weekends and park them in store lots for classic car shows to show them off.
Movie Star? Snake Killer? Don't think so - hate snakes, eeew. Don't enjoy being filmed, don't enjoy being interviewed, don't enjoy giving public speeches. Think you would be good at it though.
Sandra
I can be the Tarantula's Killer, do you get scare with tarantulas? :) just teasing you again, I am here writing because I needed sometime, I Just got time. What do you recommend for Sore Troat ? I have a big pain, here in USA, you need prescription to get drugs, that's crazy, in Mexico, if you know what you have and already a doctor gave you the prescription for the drug, next time if you get sick for the same thing, you can buy it without any problem. that's what I love from Mexico, beside other good things. well, but it has many drawbacks too,

Spiders and Snakes !!!! What's wrong with you???? What kind of pets did you have as a child??? LOL Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather. You must need some down time...working too hard. You can always try my mother's remedy of gargling with warm water and salt. Or try Listerine (I think it kills all the germs) and take Advil or something for the pain. Drink lots of fluid. Rest, Rest, Rest.
I hear what you are saying in regard to doctors. I used to be able to just call up my doctor when I was sick and get the medicine I needed. But now I have to go in. Believe it is due to all the government regulations, and doctors are no longer able to prescribe medication without seeing the patient. I hope you are feeling better soon.
